March 2020 has brought a large amount of uncertainty and anxiety to us all… we are surrounded by constant and confusing information, truthful or not, we are sanitizing everything we can get our (already sanitized) hands on and are confined to our homes while the powers that be work out what is really going on. This type of stress and anxiety can lead to some seriously bad meal choices, extra snacking and usually more alcohol for those who drink. By looking at the stock, or lack thereof on the shelves in the shops, it is clear that people have stocked up on foods that are very high in carbohydrates, sugar and caffeine. This makes me rather nervous as to what our digestive systems and bodies are going to look and feel like after 2+ weeks of isolation.
Nutrition consulting and guidance does not need to be done in person. While I always prefer to be in the same room as someone, this is not possible at this time. Technology is amazing and brings us into the same room!
The Online Consult with me, Louise or Cally is done via Whatsapp video or Zoom. We schedule these consultations as normal and we have the same in depth conversations as we would normally have. The guidance and plans we give will still be uploaded to our App, keeping us in the palm of your hands during this crazy time, and your feedback will be given daily or where necessary.
